Teen Café launched in 2024 as a monthly space created just for teens to connect, learn, and be themselves. Each session offers age-appropriate health education through interactive discussions and engaging, hands-on activities led by trusted health professionals.
Designed as a welcoming and supportive environment, Teen Café brings together adolescents from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The program recognizes that teens may be navigating social, cultural, family, and community pressures—and provides a space where their voices are heard, respected, and valued.
Teen Café sessions are two hours and follow a drop-in style format, allowing participants to come and go at their own pace, no pressure, no obligation. Sessions are led by Dr. Luke Carlson, Director of Adolescent Medicine. Through open conversation and structured activities, participants build confidence, strengthen decision-making and life skills, share experiences with peers, and form meaningful connections. Teen Café also helps participants learn about and comfortably access MHHC’s clinical services, empowering them to take an active role in their health and well-being.
