The MHHC Foundation 24th Gala

T he MHHC Foundation, the philanthropic arm of MHHC, has long advanced equity, celebrated culture, and invested in healthier, more vibrant communities. Since 1997, the Foundation had mobilized critical resources to address the deeper social determinants that shaped the health of the communities we served, including inequities in housing, education, food security, and access to care. Too often, our patients’ health was influenced not only by medical needs but by systemic barriers tied to instability, transportation, and limited access to quality services. Addressing these challenges required more than clinical care; it demanded a whole-person approach grounded in dignity, understanding, and long-term support.

At the heart of this commitment was the newly unveiled BeWell Health Center, reflecting our mission to look beyond what was immediately visible and surround individuals and families with comprehensive services that support their journey toward new heights of health, stability, and opportunity. Our sponsors, partners, and community helped bring this vision to life.

The MHHC Foundation was proud to host its 24th Annual Impact Awards Gala on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Marina Del Rey. This distinguished evening brought together community leaders, partners, and advocates dedicated to uplifting underserved communities and honoring the dignity, potential, and powerful stories of those whose strength too often went unseen.

The year’s theme, Buena Vista: The Good View | Bel Vizyon, drew inspiration from the celebrated musical Buena Vista Social Club, which reintroduced the world to legendary Cuban musicians whose voices and life stories had long gone unheard. Their journey reflected our belief that when we look beyond the surface, we uncover resilience, cultural depth, and extraordinary beauty deserving of recognition, much like the communities we serve.

Guests joined us as partners on this transformative journey. Through sponsorships and ticket purchases, they directly supported the MHHC Foundation’s comprehensive efforts to address health-related social needs. Their generosity supported programs and services while honoring the dignity and potential of our communities.
