About Nwamaka
Dr. Ugokwe is a board-certified OB/GYN and a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Nwamaka Ugokwe was born in Brooklyn, New York. During her training, she spent time in Liberia, West Africa, with the HEARTT Foundation where she helped to educate and assist local healthcare providers in developing and improving the healthcare system and infrastructure. This experience further confirmed her commitment to women’s health and providing care to those in underserved and under resourced areas whose voices are so often unheard.
