    COMMUNITY FOCUS
Always in the forefront of addressing community needs, Morris Heights Health Center, is in the midst of developing an innovative six-story mixed-use facility - Harrison Circle - that will transform the area, meet the needs of the community, and create a new sense of vitality and hope. This $45 million six-story, 112,000 sq. foot community facility is being constructed on West Burnside Avenue, a vital commercial strip, and it will house 70 units of housing for low-income seniors, with supportive services, primary and specialty healthcare services such as Mental Health and imaging; a large commercial enterprise, such as retail pharmacy, and attendant parking for staff and residents.

    INNOVATION
This innovative project - Harrison Circle aids our effort to redefine the depth and breadth of services available. Therefore, we are seizing this opportunity to not only expand our primary healthcare service, but to address the dismal social problem of inadequate housing for the community’s growing elderly population. The Harrison Circle project has been quite magnetic in attracting an array of financial and community support. The project has local and national applications to address some of the issues affecting poor communities like Morris Heights. Our partner in the housing component of this mixed used project Mount Hope Housing Corporation is a stellar organization and together, we are poised to open this project March 2010. This project is a win-win for all involved... with our community being the greatest winner.
